Recycling bottles project

Well well finally shifted to a new house. It was no less than a roller coaster ride. Found some junk though and finally got time to conver them to treasures.

This bottle I firstly washed it properly, taken off the stickers and cleaned with alcohol. All ready to paint.

Materials used:
1. Chalk paints - icraft - Desert warmth
2. Chalk paints - icraft - Old Glory
3. Transfer me sheet - DMC - Lilies
4. Mod podge - satin
5. Sponge daubers

Technique :
Firstly I used the chalk paints to color the base. Keep going with both colors using daubers, as this gradient effect only be possible on wet on wet technique. Best is to take out both the shades on a palette and start coloring and as you reach the middle part you need to go over bothe paints again n again untill you get the desired gradient effect.

We need that texture so don't drag the dauber n dab instead.

Once the paint dries, cut the tranfer sheet close to pattern. Take off the plastic coating and place it on the bottle. Take water in a small bowl to dab a fresh dauber. Then squish all the extra water from the dauber n start pressing on the back side of the transfer me sheet. Please keep the tranfer sheet steady otherwise you might mess up with the design. Keep dabbing the slightly wet dauber on the back side of the design untill you start feeling the backing of the tranfer sheet started to move. Slowly slide the backing off and voila you have a bottle with the design in no minutes. Now the only part left is to seal the bottle using mod podge. I used a dauber again to apply mod podge as I needed the textured look.

Please do like and share 😊
