Secret of my roses. 

All about layer count i used for making my roses. Girls i did not count at the time of making just went by.. i have gone back and tried to pen down the layers.

Here we go, when we pass once our classic rose dies from Heartfelt Creations through our die cut system, we get 11 flat layers of flower. I tried to sort them in sizes and we have 5 different sizes of flowers. I have marked them as A, B, C, D and E in the below picture. Just to make sure that we are on same track 😁

For the biggest flower I made, i have used 

2 layers of A

2 layers of B

1 layer of C

2 layers of D

2 layers of E

I did use the ball tools and classic rose shaping mold to shape them. You need to use 3mm ball tool and press down on the outer edges of the petals to make them like cups. Then flip the flower and use 6mm or bigger ball tool to press in the centre. Now your flower petals will start taking the shape. Layer them all starting with the biggest size (A) first. After you reach 1st layer of D size, you would need to start making the bud.

You need to make the bud separately and then attach it to the main flower. To make the bud you need the smallest E layer. Just bring the petals together and layer the tips one by one overlapping each other and pasting them in between using liquid glue. I did try doing this with hot glue gun but that was burning my fingers. Take another layer of E and layer it on top of the previous layer. The bud will start taking the shape. Then our last D layer is left which will go asnext layer for the bud. Try pinching the petals' top edges a bit out like they are trying to bloom. Stick this bud to the main flower applying glue in the centre. After this just place the flower on your palm and apply a bit of pressure. Just a bit to cup it in your palm. This will bring the flower together. 😊
